Common Yellowthroat

The common yellowthroat breeds locally at Magee Marsh, though it tends to be seen primarily in May.  The strong face mask makes it easily distinguishable from yellow-throated warblers and yellow-throated vireos.  The song is commonly described as wichity-wichity-wichity, though variations exist (e.g., whatsitooya-whatsitooya-whatsitooya).
